The first section (145 pages) of the sequel to my historical novel A FLOOD OF EVIL is now completed in draft form. This section continues the love story of Anna Gorska and Berthold Becker in the years immediately after Adolf Hitler became Chancellor of Germany.
Anna and Berthold face difficult decisions about how they can help those who should be opposing Hitler, and whether two young people can indeed do anything meaningful in that regard.
The main historical event which forms the background to their story in this draft section is the 200+ murders Hitler ordered to purge his enemies from within the Nazi party, known to history as the Night of the Long Knives.
